Jessica Thomas
Founder, MSW, LISW-S
Jessica is passionate about working with women, teens and children utilizing multiple treatment models including but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Solutions-Focused interventions. Jessica’s goal in practice is and always has been to support, teach, encourage, and empower with the belief that we can all can be healthy and happy and that looks different for each of us.
Krystin Morris
Founder, MSW, LISW-S
Krystin seeks to offer a therapeutic setting that is welcoming, joyful, warm, and restorative by counseling individuals who struggle with establishing and/or maintaining mental health and wellness. Krystin’s focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis, work-life balance and stress management, stages of change, and personal growth and development.
Jalissa Wright
CT Clinical Intern
Jalissa’s current focus is supporting clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and low self-esteem. Jalissa aims to provide a safe space for all of her clients, a space where they will be heard and treated with care.
Jessica Thomas

Jessica Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker residing in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in the inner city of Cleveland, Jessica always knew she wanted to make an impact in her community in a major way and she has set out to do so in both her personal and professional pursuits.
Jessica is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2009; Jessica’s concentration during this time was criminology and criminal justice. Jessica has worked to support juveniles in the corrections system. Continuing her education, Jessica graduated from Cleveland State University in 2014, earning a Master of Social Work.
Additionally, Jessica has work experience in community mental health, juvenile justice, case management and emergency room services. Jessica has experience working with various medical diagnosis, mental health diagnosis and treatment models. Now, Co-Founder of New Heights Counseling Center, Jessica looks forward to supporting those attempting to manage depression, anxiety, grief, work-life balance, and transitions in life.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends as well as watching movies and traveling.

Krystin Morris
MSW, LISW-S
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Krystin is a Clinical Social Worker in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Krystin has a heart and an ear for serving the underserved in the community with a specific focus on women of color.
Krystin is a two-time graduate of The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio) where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts in African and African American Studies in 2009, followed by Master of Social Work concentrated in Mental Health and Substance Abuse in 2016. Krystin has extensive personal experience in the area of work-life balance and stress management as she completed both degrees while working full-time and raising a family; Krystin now uses that personal experience to encourage and coach women of all ages to push through adversity, pursue their passion, and live on purpose.
In addition to therapy practice, Krystin’s other professional experiences include: psychiatric emergency services, crisis management and de-escalation, assessments and recommendation for mental health treatment, support groups, linkage to services within the shelter system, permanent supportive housing for women with dual diagnoses, and case management.
Through New Heights Counseling Center, Krystin seeks to offer a therapeutic setting that is welcoming, joyful, warm, and restorative by counseling individuals who struggle with establishing and/or maintaining mental health and wellness. Krystin’s focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis, work-life balance and stress management, stages of change, and personal growth and development. Although Strength – Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Informed Care, and Solutions-Focused Therapy are the primary treatment approaches, Krystin is always open to learning and exploring new treatment approaches that best fit the needs of her clients.
An avid reader, in her spare time Krystin enjoys exploring therapeutic and self-help books or articles, as well as books centered around African and African-American studies, history, and culture. She also loves spending time with her husband and children visiting the park, museums, and the zoo.

Jalissa Wright

Jalissa Wright is in her last year of graduate school at Southern New Hampshire University, studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Jalissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from The University of Toledo. Jalissa has experience working with older adults, adults and children in behavioral health.
Jalissa’s current focus is supporting clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and low self-esteem. Jalissa aims to provide a safe space for all of her clients, a space where they will be heard and treated with care.
Jalissa’s hobbies include spending time with family, friends and her dog. Jalissa also enjoys reading, traveling, shopping and relaxing.
