Our Mission
At New Heights Counseling Center our mission is to provide
quality, person-centered, therapeutic intervention and support that elevates the entire being, focusing specifically on mental and emotional health and wellness.
Our Values
The Individual
We all come from different backgrounds and differing experiences and therefore we all have different needs. There is no one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach. At New Heights we are committed to tailoring therapeutic interventions and treatment plans to each client’s specific needs and goals.
Communities
As individuals, we are the sum of our parts. We were born into a community, raised in community and presently, live and exist in a community; therefore we value a healthy relationship between an individual and their chosen communities.
Cultural competence
Cultural competence is the ability to acknowledge, understand, communicate with and respectfully & effectively interact with people across cultures. Cultural competence requires an awareness of one’s own world view and with that, a embrace of cultural differences and willingness to learn about other world views.
Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)
EBP is therapy based on scientific evidence that is tested and reviewed among peers in the field and shown to be effective. EBP is the “best practice,” increasing quality of treatment and accountability, overall improving the therapeutic experience.
Creativity
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. We all have different needs and different ways of meeting those needs, so we value meeting people where they are with an approach tailored to the individual.
Continuing Education
As therapists, we value delivering quality services and support that is the most relevant and we do so by continuously educating, training and exploring new and revised treatment modalities and updating ourselves on services and supports available in the community.
Confidentiality
We value the privacy and confidentiality of the individual and therefore provide HIPAA compliant workspaces, documentation, and records-keeping.
